Arborist / Trained Utility Arborist
We are currently looking for an experienced full-time tree surgeon/arborist to join our electrical utility team in a permanent position.
The role will mainly involve you working within one of our utility teams. You must be an able climber, confident and resourceful. Self-motivation is key.
We do require you to have the relevant climbing qualifications. Utility training will be supplied as required.
Salary and hours
Salary: £20,000 -£30,000 (competitive – depending on experience).
Core hours are 07:00 – 16:00 Monday – Friday.
Some weekend and night shifts are required as the business needs.
All PPE and required equipment will be provided, with all specialist equipment requests considered.
Essential Criteria

- Confident problem-solving abilities
- This role may involve staying away and night working as projects dictate. You must be available for this as and when required.
- A Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points)
- City & Guilds NPTC Level 2, Woodchipper operation
- City & Guilds NPTC Level 2, Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross Cutting
- City & Guilds NPTC Level 2, Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm
- City & Guilds NPTC Level 2, Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue
- City & Guilds NPTC Level 3, Aerial cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw Using Freefall Techniques.
Desirable Criteria
- Utility Arb (UA) (some or all)
- 360 Excavator ticket.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- B&E Trailer Licence.
